The context

The context

A selection of marks from our commercial and personal work. Some are still in use, some were made for practice or fun, and some didn't survive a client's selection round.

A logo usually starts with a conversation about the brand it will represent. We gather references with the client and look at the brand's wider visual language before sketching the first round.

What we did

What we did

01

A conversation about the brand

What it stands for and how it should feel.

02

References

Inspiration gathered together with the client.

03

Stylistic directions

A few possible routes, defined before any sketching.

04

First iterations

Sketches narrowed down to the strongest ideas.

05

A mark, or a full identity

Sometimes the process ends with a sign, sometimes it grows into a complete system.

The outcome

Sometimes the process ends with a single mark, sometimes with a complete identity. Either way, it's one of our favourite parts of the job.
